Our Story

Vincent “Vin” Frances Gerrior IV is a third-generation remodeler that grew up in a home improvement household. As a young boy, he’d help his dad doing “grunt work,” cleaning up yards and ripping siding and windows out. By the time he was 10 or 11, he was learning how to install them. By 14, he could do a lot of remodeling tasks on his own, but more importantly, he had learned what taking pride in a job done the right way looks like.

“I always knew I was going to be in home improvement; it was always a passion of mine,” he says, noting that his father got into the remodeling business himself at 19. “I imagined myself taking over National Home Industries, my dad’s business, but he had a different idea of what I should be doing. He really didn’t want me in the business. In his mind, it wasn’t the best path for me, and he required a college degree if I was to work for him.”

So after graduating from Broadneck High School, Vin earned a degree in psychology from Indiana University and worked briefly as a social worker before returning to Maryland. A friend got him started career at Aerotek where he became a top 10% salesman, handling the largest account there for several years. “It was great. It taught me a lot about business, but it also taught me I couldn’t sit in an office.”

About the time his first child was born, he made a bold decision to quit, later taking a pay cut to become a sales manager for a small company that eventually grew to be the largest home improvement company in the Mid Atlantic. He spent nearly 20 years helping grow the business from $2M to $100M and ensuring quality control on over 700,000 projects in a variety of positions including Director of Retail Operations, VP of Sales.

Vin teamed with a partner he knew from that company in 2018 to launch a remodeling business, but a few years later decided it was time to have a venture he could be 100% in control of and responsible for. Bayrock Remodeling was launched in June 2021.

Vin lives with his wife Pamela, sons Vincent Frances V and River, daughters Ava, Sydney, and Piper, and a golden retriever named Hudson in Centerville, Maryland.

Vin has lived near the Chesapeake Bay all his life and enjoys spending lots of time on the water. His father’s nickname is “Rock,” and the business is named in honor of him and the work ethic he instilled in Vin. Bayrock Remodeling serves the Greater Annapolis area where Vin grew up, Centerville, and east to Ocean City and the Delaware beach area.
